The Ever Insightful Karl Rove

Rove offers his humble opinion  on the future status of our current president, when viewed in the clear-eyed, rear view mirror!  No surprise, Karl thinks the man whom he advised (better, the man who embodied his (Rove's) policies) will be best ever!

The Report

Getting ready to make sure the bad report is spun properly.

War Profiteetring

Be aware that there is some language in this piece that I'd rather wasn't there, but the thoroughly disgusting extent to which folks are quite happy to profit during a time of war is just remarkable.

Yes, Public Policy Matters

It is exceptionally hard to see how Christians can engage the struggle for economic justice without engaging in the political process, at least as regards public policy.  Just as Reagan's policies were terrible for the poorest, so also Bush's.

Bush-a-nomics

When will a substantial number of Christians begin to speak more aggressively against economic policies that have these results, instead of remaining enablers for conservatives?

Guns or Butter, part 2

Just a reminder, all the hungry in the world can be fed for less than this amount.  Not available for that, but plenty for war and the tools for making war.

Death Rate in Iraq

As a Christian, it saddens me greatly that the only loss of life that seems to matter in Iraq is the loss of US lives.  Rarely do we hear much beyond how terrible it is that our soldiers are being killed at the rate they are.  Well, I do, in fact, share the heartbreak over the loss of coalition soldiers.  In light of Jesus' call to love our neighbors, though, we must also have great concern over the incredible loss of life experienced by the Iraqi people.  Sadly, this report indicates things are hardly improving, rather the opposite, in fact.

Divorce and Religious Trends

A report worthy of a quick gander.

You Go Keith!

That Olberman is right on these doesn't even need to be said, so we'll list it for its entertainment value.

A Voice Against Torture

Good for her!
